James Stevens Curl
This building, largely of 17th-century appearance, though remodelled in 1900-3 by Thomas Graham Jackson (1835-1924), had a crowning feature over the central element that was in a poor state of repair, and which had been covered over. The fabric was inspected, and underneath the cladding were found charming Gothick windows and other features: these were exposed and restored, all leadwork was renewed, and a replica balustrade was made, all in 1977.
