This illustrated volume describes the historical and architectural features of every public house within the City of London, as they were in 1973, many of which have either been destroyed or altered beyond recognition. The establishments are grouped into ten small areas, enabling the enthusiast, with the aid of the sketch-map included, to sample the delights of each one in a logical sequence without overdoing things.
